Vintage Peck & Peck Hat Box Hatbox Square Gray Houndstooth & Red Movie Prop 50s?

Wonderful sturdy Peck & Peck square hat box. Even has the original tissue in it. No hat, just the box. Excellent condition considering the age. So small wear and tears on the edges, especially where the string was tied and a surface tear on the bottom. Beautiful box with a light gray and white houndstooth pattern lid. The bottom is red, but not fire engine red...more of a rosy red. and it's a matte finish.
I'm only guessing that this is from the 1950s or 1960s. No musty smells and no big stains. Some light stains on the bottom, but overall beautiful box. 12" x 12" x 6 3/4".
