Vintage Native American Alaskan  Eskimo Mukluks
These moccasins are vintage new - never worn. They were purchased
by the seller's parents
in the 1940-50s in Alaska  from the artisan. This auction is for the pair shown in the photos; we're also selling a pair of very similar moccasins.
Moccasins like these – never worn, superb vintage condition - don't show up very often, if ever.

uaranteed authentic Eskimo hand stitched and beaded mukluks in superb condition.

Beading is delicate and intricate.
·
The hide/fur is a rich brindled brown, short, and very shiny and silky. Not sure if it’s elk, caribou, moose or what.

Beautiful soft, plus accent trim.
·
Stitching is believed to be sinew
·
The interior is fully lined with a heavy woven cotton fabric
·
The sole isn’t leather but one continuous piece of animal fur
·
Leather ties with tassel.
·
Approximate measurement, toe to heel: Floral pattern is 11" (slit front, no tassel) ; creature pattern is 11.5"
We’re also selling a second pair of very similar moccasins. One pair has floral beading and is smaller (presumably a size and design for women; the other has a beaded creature and is larger (for men)
