Lot Consists of Very Hard To Find, Original, 1933 "THE HISTORY OF TORTURE" EXHIBIT BOOKLET by Leon Morgan. Booklet goes into detail on the torture exhibit built by MESSMORE & DAMON COMPANY - for the Chicago World's Fair, The New York World's Fair and The Tortures Exhibit which was on display in CONEY ISLAND for many years. Booklet is dated - 1933. Interior and Centerfold have great images and descriptions of various types of torture used over the ages. (See pics for more details.)
NOTE: We also have listed separately - the very hard to find, "Super Features Exhibits for the New York World's Fair", "The World of Tomorrow" exhibition booklet for The Messmore & Damon company which made the exhibits for these fairs / exhibitions and others including Disneyland, which needed both automated and still displays in both life size and miniature. Booklet has great pics of these including how they designed the life size Dinosaurs for the exhibits. A must have for model builder / Dinosaur / world's fair / exhibition enthusiast.
Side Stapled, gloss stock booklet is approx. 9" high x 6" wide, has approx. 14 interior pages and comes as pictured. There is some light toning / spots / smudges on edges and some light signs of handling on edges and corners. Staples are lightly rusting. Booklet was been stored away, stacked and away from light for many years. Great 88+/- year old exhibition booklet, hard to find in any condition, let alone as nice as this one.
