Native American Child's Jingle Bob Dress

Description

Mid 20th century Native American child's plateau tribe jingle bod dress. We are unsure of exact tribal affiliation. Piece is made of fully purple sequined material with bright, vibrant colored sunburst in center of dress bodice which is mirrored in lower left corner. Bell cones are made from snuff can lids and attached in a diagonal pattern across front and back of dress. Hem and cuffs along with points of attachment of dress are accented with yellow material. Piece is in excellent condition for display, either in a shadowbox or on a mannequin, or could even continue to be used. Zipper is still fully functional. Child's jingle dresses are rare and hard to come by, and would make an excellent addition to a Native American or indigenous display or collection. Size: 27"H x 18" at widest width.
