    Description

Handmade medicine bag and belt pouch.
Made from heavy elk hide with lambskin fringe on the neck bag . Trim is abalone disk with tiger eye heshi on the flap and trade beads on the strings.
The style is Plains Traditional early 1800's
Belt pouch has doubled hide reenforcement to the top and belt loop so it will not sag out of shape from what you carry in it.
Neck bag is 2x3 inches with almost 10 inch fringe.
Pouch is 8x5 plenty of room for everything you need to carry.
Pouch has simple colored lacing pattern in yellow blue and green (sun water and grass all important to plains dwellers).
Lacing ends are beaded. Beads are handmade glass crow beads in turquoise and amber similar to padre beads.
If the new owner wishes I can bead the flap of the belt pouch to match the neck bag..
I have intentionally left the flap plain in case a new owner prefers to bead it them self
Both bags are handmade without commercial patterns.
These are one of a kind I will never make another set exactly like these.
Has been smudged and comes filled with white sage.
This bag is made to last and take a lot of wear and tear. Some thing to be passed down to the next generation ......
This bag took about a month to complete.
