Our feathers are from the best bred roosters in the USA, Whiting Farm - Guaranteed!  Per a very reliable source, Whiting Farms is grading their saddles for either the fashion world and for fly tye shops. Fly tye shops are not receiving fashion quality saddles to deter them from selling to the fashion world.  These saddles have thinner, shorter feathers, and broken tips.  Adequate for the fly tye world, but not for the fashion world. These saddles cost less than fashion saddles given the fly tye grading they receive.
Many sellers are advertising Whiting Euro Hackle Feathers but are truly not selling all Whiting Euro,  are receiving lessor quality saddles from fly tye shops, and/or  other farmers and are mixing them into their packs.  This is an issue many of the quality feather sellers are working with as many buyers do not realize the difference.
